• Vintage circa 1940's - 1950's
• Details:  This is a great example of  Mid Century Modern pottery.  It is a leaf-shaped divided dish with embossed leaf veins.  The color is a bright yellow, but it's not a solid yellow, there is white veining throughout which we tried to show in the pictures, really nice, subtle affect.  It has a high shine glaze.  Deep enough to hold any number of items from nuts to candy to jewelry, or beautiful on its own as decor.  There is a condition issue, please see below.  It is marked on the bottom: "Made In USA No. 7", most likely made by one of the many California Potteries that were in business in the 1940's and 50's.  
• Material: Ceramic
• Dimensions:  Approx. 11 inches Long, and 9 inches Wide at its widest point. It is 1.5 inches Tall at its tallest point.
• Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Very Good Vintage Condition.  There is one small chip underneath one of the leaf points, slightly visible from the top, depending on the angle.  The last two pictures show the chip from the back, as well as the front.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear  and imperfections. 

California USA Pottery is simply a mark, there was never a California USA Pottery Company that produced these wares.  Some marks you may find from California potters are: Cal., Calif., California, some include USA, or the mold number, like this one.  Most of these items were utilitarian, created for everyday use, the maker was not important.  Since it's almost impossible to know who made these wonderful pieces of craftsmanship and nostalgia, collectors tend to look for design, purpose, pieces that are aesthetically pleasing, rather than a specific maker.
