Heartgard Chewables for Cats - 6 ct

Heartgard is a once-a-month chewable that can protect your cat from the threat of potentially deadly heartworm disease. In a tasty flavor that cats love, Heartgard Chewables is safe for all sizes and breeds of cats. It is approved for use in kittens as young as six weeks, small cats regardless of weight, pregnant or breeding queens, and toms. Ivermectin

Cautions:
There are no known drug interactions with ivermectin. It is best to always tell your veterinarian what other medications you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, and a drug interaction may be anticipated. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together. Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.

Side Effects:
There are very few side effects when the drug is given at the usual dose. Ivermectin may rarely cause a shock like reaction in dogs. If this occurs, notify your veterinarian. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.

Usage:
Heartgard Chewables should be given orally as directed by your veterinarian.
