The Willow Tree was believed to enhance psychic abilities and to offer deep insights, while it’s strength and flexibility were seen as a metaphor for the path of the spiritual. In Roman mythology, it was the Golden Bough, a tree branch with golden leaves, that enabled the Trojan hero, Aeneas to travel through the underworld safely.
