Figurine, Arnart 5th Avenue, Boy and Girl Gardening 11/553, Hand Painted, Vintage Set of 2

• Details:  An unbelievable find!  These adorable figurines are very hard to find and specially together, and in this condition.  They are from Arnart 5th Avenue Imports.  This is a set of two figures, the boy has gathered lots of flowers in his hat and the girl is holding a watering can.  These are hand painted, very well done, the faces are sweet and the colors are bright.  They both have the blue Arnart backstamp originally used from 1957 to 1987 and reads : "Arnart/5th AVE, Hand Painted, 11/553".  From our own research, we understand the numbers stamped sometimes signify the pieces belong to an entire group of figurines, or collection.  If you collect these figurines, we hope this is a great find.  Their classic vintage charm will be a wonderful addition to any decor.

• Dimensions:  Both are 9.5 inches Tall 
• Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Very Good Vintage Condition.  The girl has some paint/scrape on her elbow, and the boy has a little bit of paint residue on his hand, both photographed for you.  There is a little bit of crazing, acceptable due to age/use/wear.  Otherwise, there are no chips, scratches, or other defects on either piece.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.  
  

Arnart Imports Inc., is still in operation (as of this writing) and is currently located in 230 Fifth Avenue, New York. The company specializes in porcelain gifts and decorative accessories. First registered trade mark was the Crown and A’s mark registered April 30, 1953.  However, we found that in 1957 the name was changed to "Arnart 5th Avenue" after securing US based offices, and they stopped using a printed stamped 'made in Japan' pottery mark, opting instead for a removable 'made in Japan' sticker.  If that is correct, this figurine would be post 1957.
