An elegant decanter with a royal origin story. This clear glass Crown Royal promotional bottle dates to the 1970s and makes a handsome addition to any home bar — whether you fill it with whisky, water, or simply display it as a piece of barware history.
The shape is immediately recognizable: cut diamond panels on the upper and lower halves flank a center band of large ovals, one side etched with a grape bunch, the other with the Crown Royal crest. The base and stopper top both feature a bold starburst pattern. The original stopper is included. Heavy, elegant, and wonderfully retro.
Crown Royal has one of the great origin stories in spirits history. In 1939, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth were scheduled to visit Canada — the first time any reigning monarch had made the journey across the Atlantic. Samuel Bronfman of Seagram's wanted to mark the occasion properly. After testing more than 600 blends, Crown Royal was born. All ten cases bottled for the royal train trip across Canada were consumed during the journey. The whisky wasn't sold outside Canada until the 1960s — and it's now the top-selling Canadian whisky in the United States.

Brand: Crown Royal / Seagram's
Vintage: circa 1970s
Dimensions: 10.0" tall (with stopper) | approx. 4.4" diameter | holds approx. 25 oz
Material: Glass
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Note: the plastic portion of the stopper is slightly loose and can occasionally stick in the bottle neck — easily resolved. Please review all photos carefully — we cannot accept returns.
